Mian Zahid Ullah Jan

It is an honor to introduce Mian Zahid Ullah Jan as a resource person at the KP Judicial Academy.

Mian Zahid Ullah Jan joined the judiciary in 2004 as a Civil Judge and was promoted as Senior Civil Judge in 2017 and as Additional District & Sessions Judge in 2018. Over his distinguished career, he has served at various stations including Peshawar, Mansehra, Nowshera, Haripur, and Bajaur. He received commendation and incentives from the Peshawar High Court for his performance as Magistrate and was among the first batch of judicial officers posted to Bajaur after the merger of FATA.

He also secured first position in an essay competition at the Federal Judicial Academy on the topic “Judicial Service: A Mission and Not a Profession,” and has delivered lectures at KPJA on judgment writing in criminal cases.

His primary area of interest is the administration of criminal justice, particularly the role of courts in ensuring fair and effective adjudication.
