The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Judicial Academy (KPJA) has successfully concluded its Post-Promotion Statutory Training Program for District & Sessions Judges / Zilla Qazis, held from April 7 to 19, 2025.
The two-week training focused on Leadership & Management, preparing judicial officers for enhanced responsibilities and challenges in the modern justice system. The program aimed to strengthen leadership skills, reinforce judicial ethics, and improve administrative and managerial capacity.
The inaugural session was graced by Hon’ble Chief Justice of Peshawar High Court, Mr. Justice S.M. Attique Shah, who emphasized the importance of empowering the district judiciary to ensure justice delivery at the grassroots.
Throughout the training, participants engaged in expert-led sessions and hands-on exercises covering topics such as recruitment procedures, disciplinary processes, file management, public procurement, rights of the accused, and performance auditing.
In the final phase, participants visited the Federal Judicial Academy (FJA), Islamabad under a Faculty Exchange Program (April 17–19). They attended sessions on leadership development, emotional intelligence, climate change and justice, and emerging trends in law and technology, including AI, cybersecurity, and data protection.
The concluding ceremony at FJA was honored by the presence of Hon’ble Chief Justice of Pakistan, Mr. Justice Yahya Afridi, who addressed the participants and emphasized:
“Empowerment of District Judiciary is fundamental to ensuring access to justice.”
His Lordship called for robust institutional support, capacity-building, and reforms to strengthen the judiciary at the district level—laying the groundwork for a more efficient, fair, and people-centered justice system.
