The ceremony started with the recitation of the Holy Quran. The Class Representative was invited to speak on behalf of the participants of the course. He applauded the efforts of the Academic Wing of this Academy, for devising such a comprehensive and practical course. He praised the administration for providing up to the mark logistics, food and boarding facilities. While making suggestions to improve the design of the course vis-à-vis practical application of the theory, mock trials, assignments linking to actual decided cases, more visits and familiarization to presentation methodology.
Delegation of UNDP headed by Mr. Syed Arslan, visited KP Judicial Academy to discuss the new project started by UNODC in KPK. The project name is PACT (Pakistan Action on Counter-terrorism). Director Genral KP Judicial Academy, Mr. Masood Khan, Dean Faculty Khawaja Wajahuddin, Sr. Director Admin Mr. Asif Khan, and Director Instruction Mr. Hafiz Naseem Akbar, were present on the occasion.
In August 2015, a memorandum of understanding [MoU] was signed with the KP Police Department. MOU signed between KP Police Department and KP Judicial Academy is the materialization of the desired objective of the two departments to strengthen the system of administration of justice for efficient & effective service delivery.
A four member team of Punjab Judicial Academy, Lahore visited Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Judicial Academy. The team was headed by the Director General PJA Ms. Uzma Akhtar Chughtai, Senior Instructor Mr. Saleem, Instructor, PJA and Rao Abdul Jabbar, District & Sessions Judge. KP Judicial Academy was represented by Director General KP Judicial Academy, Mr. Masood Khan. Dean Faculty Khawaja Wajahuddin, Sr. Director Admin. Mr. Asif Khan, and Director Instruction Mr.
Mr. Masood Khan has been appointed as new Director General of KP Judicial Academy by the august Peshawar High Court Peshawar. Mr. Masood Khan has an illustrious career spanning more than three decades. Before joining judiciary he was a practicing lawyer. He joined judiciary as civil judge in 1988. He held various judicial and administrative positions and rose to prominence as a qualified judge and able administrator.
In recent years, countries in all parts of the world have significantly revised their existing wildlife legislation, or adopted new legal frameworks for the management and protection of wildlife. In this context the KP Judicial Academy arranged one day specialized training on wildlife and bio-diversity (Protection, preservation, conservation and management) to enlighten the participants on the subject Act 2015. The training was formally concluded by the Director General KPJA, Mr. Zia uddin Khattak.
This month witnessed the elevation of the chairman of the academy and the Honorable Chief Justice of PHC; Mr. Justice Mazhar Alam Khan Miankhel to the Supreme Court of Pakistan. A farewell lunch was hosted by the Academy in his honor. Director General and other directors of the Academy were present on this occasion. The chief guest, being the patron, prayed for the success of the academy.
The second 05 day training on “Substantive and Procedural laws” for Senior Government pleaders, Government pleaders and Additional Government Pleaders of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Province was also successfully completed. The second training was held from 13th December to 17th December 2016. The objective of these trainings was the capacity building of the participants. A total number of 25 Government pleaders completed the training. Course for the training was designed by the Faculty of the Academy.
