JUSTICE SECTOR REFORMS: CAPACITY UPLIFT OF PARALEGALS (STAMP VENDORS) 8TH FEBRUARY, 2025

The KP Judicial Academy held a one-day training session for 27 paralegals (Stamp Vendors) from districts across Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, including Abbottabad, Mansehra, Haripur, Battagram, Tor Ghar, and Upper Kohistan.

This capacity-building initiative reflects KPJA's dedication to justice sector reforms and aims to increase public confidence in the justice system. The training focused on several key objectives including   Reinforcing ethical practices and professional conduct, Updating legal knowledge and improving understanding of relevant laws, rules, and procedures, Refining professional skills for effective and efficient service delivery and Enhancing service delivery skills in interactions with other justice sector stakeholders.

Director General, Mr. Jehanzeb Shinwari, welcomed the participants at the opening session.  The first session, led by Faculty Dean, Mr. Zia-ur-Rehman, provided a "Course Brief and Interactive Discourse on Paralegal Business."  Dr. Qazi Atta Ullah, Senior Director Research & Publication KPJA, then led a session on Professional Ethics and Conduct.  Mr. Wajid Ali, Director Instructions, KPJA, shared insights on Substantive and Procedural Laws, focusing on irregularities, challenges, and applications of relevant laws. The final session, led by Ms. Faryal Zia Mufti, Director Instructions covered "Maintenance of Records," with a focus on producing registers in evidence, register consignment, associated challenges, and potential solutions.

Mr. Aurangzeb, Station Director concluded the training by presenting certificates to the participants.
