The Academy commenced Pre-Service Training (PST) of the newly recruited Civil Judges-cum-Judicial Magistrates/Illaqa Qazis (Batch 2018). This is the first time that the Academy is conducting training of a longer duration (13 weeks). The PST was inaugurated in a simple but impressive ceremony. Mr. Muhammad Salim Khan, Registrar, Peshawar High Court, was the Chief Guest. Dr Khurshid Iqbal, the Director General of the Academy warmly welcomed the trainees. He delivered an impressive and inspiring welcome speech. The Registrar, PHC, too spoke on the occasion. The inaugural ceremony was also attended by the Member Inspection Team and Director Regulation Wing of the Peshawar High Court/Secretariat of the District Judiciary. Other dignitaries included the District & Sessions Judge, Peshawar, and four senior most District & Sessions Judges. The inaugural ceremony was broadcasted live via zoom, a video conferencing facility in a number of , districts, such as, Battagram, Chitral, Kohat, Mansehra and Swat, where District & Sessions Judges and other judges watched it.
