Peshawar, September 27, 2025 — The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Judicial Academy (KPJA) organized a one-day Professional Development Training Program for Drivers of the Peshawar High Court. A total of 20 drivers from the Establishment of the High Court participated.
Mr. Ahmed Iftikhar, Dean Faculty, KPJA, who presided over both the inaugural and concluding sessions and distributed certificates to participants at the closing ceremony.
The program featured three technical sessions:
- General Conduct and Professional Behaviour of Drivers – Judges’ Perspective was delivered by Mr. Dost Muhammad Khan, Director Instructions-II, who emphasized discipline, courtesy, and maintaining the dignity of judicial institutions.
- Professional Conduct and Ethics for Drivers was conducted by Mr. Muhammad Arifeen, Retired Secretary Admn/Law, Govt. of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, who briefed participants on the Government Servants (Conduct) Rules, 1987, ethical standards, and workplace behaviour.
- Traffic Rules, Protocol Duties, Road Safety, Defensive Driving and Vehicle Maintenance were covered by SP Hukam Khan and DSP Zaheer-ud-Din from Motorway Police, assisted by technical officials. They trained drivers on traffic signals, protocol responsibilities, safe driving techniques, emergency handling, and routine vehicle maintenance.
In his concluding address, Mr. Ahmed Iftikhar highlighted the importance of professionalism, discipline, and road safety, urging drivers to embody the values of responsibility and courtesy in their daily duties.
This initiative, part of KPJA’s statutory mandate to train stakeholders of the justice sector, reflects the Academy’s continued commitment to professionalism, excellence, and diversity.
