A two-week training course for professional development and capacity building of the young lawyers was held at KP Judicial Academy form 24th June to 5th July,2019. As many as twenty five young lawyers from different districts of the Province participated.
The course was tailored to the needs of young lawyers to perform efficiently. The focus of the contents was on areas of legal ethics, Bench Bar relationship, traits of a successful lawyer, legal research techniques, drafting skill, cross-examination, case presentation skills, role of a lawyer in Alternative Dispute Resolution(ADR),cross-examination and case presentation skills, Juvenile Justice system, application of Information Technology in courts etc.Experienced lawyers, and judges of the Provincial Judiciary were the resource persons.
A simple but venerable concluding ceremony was conducted on the last day of the training. Director General of the Academy, Mr. Muhammad Bashir, Dean Faculty, Mr. Dr. Shakeel Azam Awan, Senior Director Administrator Academy, Mr. Ashfaque Taj, Senior Director Research & Publication Academy, Mr. Amjad Zia Siddiqee, Station Director, Mr. Suhail Sheraz Noor Saani, Director Instruction-I, Mr. Inamullah Wazir and Director Instruction-II, Mr. Ahmad Iftikhar participated in the concluding ceremony.
During concluding ceremony, the class representative expressed his satisfaction regarding the effectiveness and usefulness of the training.The participants extended their profound gratitude to the Peshawar High Court and the Academy for arranging the activity.
In his concluding remarks Director General Academy, Mr. Muhammad Bashir highlighted the importance of training for all stakeholders of Judicial System.He said that the training course was designed to cater the needs of young lawyers to perform efficiently. He said that in the future, the Academy will conduct more trainings of similar nature in which young lawyers from across the Province will participate.
At the end the Director General, Academy distributed certificates amongst the trainees.
