KPJA Participates in Closing Ceremony of Deliver Justice Project (May 21, 2026)
ILO Auditorium, Islamabad – May 21, 2026:
On behalf of the Director General, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Judicial Academy (KPJA) Ms. Wadeeya Mushtaq Malik, Director Instructions, represented KPJA, at the closing ceremony of the Deliver Justice Project organized jointly by UNDP, UN Women, and UNODC with the support of the European Union. The event marked the successful completion of the Deliver Justice Project aimed at strengthening access to justice, promoting inclusive justice systems, and advancing rule of law reforms in Pakistan. The ceremony was attended by members of the judiciary, parliamentarians, development partners, legal experts, civil society representatives, and justice sector stakeholders.
The programme commenced with a keynote address by Honourable Justice Shahid Waheed, Judge, Supreme Court of Pakistan, followed by remarks from representatives of the European Union, UN Women, UNODC, and UNDP Pakistan. Speakers highlighted the importance of collaborative efforts in building responsive and citizen-oriented justice
institutions.
A special segment titled “Access to Justice in Action” showcased stories and achievements from the project, followed by a panel discussion on “The Future of Rule of Law in Pakistan,” focusing on judicial reforms, institutional coordination, and sustainable justice sector initiatives. During the deliberations, participants emphasized the need for continued cooperation among judicial academies, development partners, and justice sector institutions for sustaining reform initiatives, strengthening legal empowerment, and enhancing professional capacity building. On behalf of KPJA, Ms. Wadeeya Mushtaq Malik acknowledged the efforts of the organizers and development partners and reaffirmed KPJA’s commitment in supporting initiatives aimed at strengthening judicial education, rule of law, and access to justice in Pakistan.
