Concluding ceremony of First Mobile Courts-ADR Training for Judges and Lawyers of District Peshawar

The Concluding ceremony of First Mobile Courts-ADR Training for Judges and Lawyers of District Peshawar (from 22-27 July, 2013) held at Peshawar High Court, Peshawar at the event of inauguration of Mobile Courts Project.

Chairman KPJA/Chief Justice Peshawar High Court, Justice Dost Muhammad Khan was the chief guest at the ceremony.

Director General KP Judicial Academy, Syed Hayat Ali Shah also addressed to the participants and the guests.

The participants were awarded certificates on the completion of the training.

First Mobile Courts-ADR Training for Judges and Lawyers of District Peshawar (22-27 July, 2013) started at the Academy.

Peshawar High Court is marching towards a new enterprise-the establishment of Mobile Courts to provide equitable justice at the doorsteps. The Objective of the idea of Mobile Courts is divine; for the justice system would be itself in search of oppressed class.

In order to introduce ADR (Alternate Dispute Resolution), as supportive [not as substitute] to our formal justice system, the Academy has, on the ambitious directions of the Honorable Chairman, designed this training course for judges and lawyers of District Peshawar. Training on the subject becomes more significant when it is connected to the Mobile Courts System, for which almost all necessary arrangements have been made by the Peshawar High Court. These courts will start their operations soon. The training will be imparted to judges and other members of the justice sector, particularly the lawyers on what the mobile court system is all about, how would it work and what significant role ADR will play in their functioning and success. Driven by the motto-- Justice at the Doorsteps--the training seeks to enhance the capabilities of ADR skills, implant the spirit of alleviating the miseries of the poor litigants.

This 6 days training is starting form today 22 July 2013 and 24 participants including Judges and Lawyers from district Peshawar attending the course.

Farewell gathering in honor of Sr. Director Research & Publication / Station Director Radio Meezan, Mr. Aamir Nazir

Farewell gathering was arranged on July 9, 2013 at the Academy in honor of Muhammad Aamir Nazir, District & Session Judge, who served the Academy as Senior Director Research and Publications and also as Station Director of Radio Meezan FM 96.6.

Director General KPJA, Syed Hayat Ali Shah, Senior Director Administration, Muhammad Salim Khan, Faculty Dean, Dr. Khursheed Iqbal, Director Research, Dr. Adnan Khan, Director Instructions, Qazi Attaullah, Director Administration, Muhammad Jehanzeb Shinwari, Admin Officer, Mr. Asghar Ali Salarzai were present on the occasion.

D.G KPJA praised the services and efforts of Mr.Aamir Nazir for the establishment of  Radio Meezan and Research Wing. DG also presented a shield.

First Ever Research Studies Initiated by KP Judicial Academy

Chairman KPJA / Chief Justice Peshawar High Court, Justice Dost Muhammad Khan formally inaugurated Research Studies at the KP Judicial Academy.

Three Research studies will be conducted by the Academy's Research Wing in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa on the following topics

·         ADR: Gaps between Formal and Informal Justice System

·         Whether the present Judicial System Introduced in Malakand Division can deliver the Justice to ensure Peace?

·         Civil cases culminating into criminal cases: a baseline study on trends in crimes in Swat

Research studies are being funded by the UNDP and World Bank.

11th Judgment Writing Training for Senior Civil Judges, Civil Judges and Judicial Magistrates started today.

The inauguration ceremony of the 11th Judgment Writing Training for Senior Civil Judges, Civil Judges and Judicial Magistrates at KP Judicial Academy Peshawar started today (24 June, 2013. Senior civil judges and civil judges of different districts of KP participating in the training.

The concluding ceremony of the 9th Judgment Writing Training for Senior Civil Judges, Civil Judges and Judicial Magistrates at KP Judicial Academy Peshawar on June 15, 2013. Senior civil judges and civil judges of different districts of KP participated in the training.
At the ceremony, the Director General KPJA Hayat Ali Shah discussed the importance, purpose and objectives of the training.

Chairman KPJA / Chief Justice Peshawar High Court, Hon'ble Justice Dost Muhammad Khan, discussed his views with the participants of the training via video link from his residence during the Academy night.

The Vice Chairman KPJA/puisne Judge Peshawar High Court, Justice Mian Fasih ul Mulk was the chief guest. He said this it was moment of jubilation for me to hear that the Academy has, in a shorter span of time successfully conducted its 8th training on Judgment Writing alongside many other academic and research activities. I have every reason to be proud of my team in the Academy for his colossal achievement. I hope that this practice will continue in the future with the same speed and quality.

9th Judgment Writing Training for Senior Civil Judges, Civil Judges and Judicial Magistrates

KPJA News

9th Judgment Writing Training for Senior Civil Judges, Civil Judges and Judicial Magistrates started on June 10, 2013 at the Academy.
25 Judicial Officers including 7 female Judicial officers from various districts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa are participating  in this training.
On the first day of the training the Ex-Chairman  Public Service Commission KP, Mr. Abdullah delivered lecture on "Perception in Judicial decision making". 
The concluding ceremony of 8th Judgment Writing Training will be held on June 14, 2013 and the Chairman KPJA / Chief Justice Peshawar High Court, Justice Dost Muhammad Khan will be the chief guest.
